Ursula Grossmann trained as a ceramist at the Bern University of Design and was awarded the Federal Scholarship for Applied Arts in 1976. Before opening her own studio in Brienz in 1981, she completed the industrial design ceramics course at Stoke-on-Trent UK Polytechnic. Ursula Grossmann is known for experimenting with different materials and techniques. All his works are constructed, modeled or assembled from panels. Each of her objects is unique, in which she focuses on people and animals.
