Bernard Simond et Bertrand Geiser
Luthier and instrument maker
Neuchâtel

« The luthier places, moves forward or backwards the soul of a violin under the bridge. [] A more or less puny piece of wood gives it or takes away from it a harmonious soul. Voltaire »

About

Bertrand Geiser, musical instrument maker and Bernard Simond, luthier have been working in the region for more than twenty years. The training of the first, in Lucerne, allows him to obtain a CFC with distinction. The second is a graduate of the international school of Cremona, the cradle of the greatest luthiers. These two craftsmen complete their knowledge with improvements in Switzerland, Germany, France, Canada, the United States and Japan.

« Through careful restoration, brass and wood have regained a harmonious sound, a comfortable mechanism and perfect aesthetics. »

Bertrand Geiser and Bernard Simond’s workshops are full of various instruments that need to be repaired, restored, or simply maintained. Whether you are an amateur music lover or a confirmed professional, you can find everything at Music Avenue: brass, woodwinds and violins but also guitars, pianos, harps, drums or sheet music.
