Valentina Benassi
Ceramist
Viganello

« For me, ceramics are the quintessence that comes from earth, air, water and fire; it is art, history and passion; are the ideas that take shape and materialize molded in clay. »

About

Born in Emilia Romagna, she trained in Modena as a "ceramic designer"; he had the opportunity to develop his ideas and acquire skills at some Emilian ceramic companies, gaining experience, professionalism and attention to detail. After moving to Switzerland, she continues her research in the world of ceramics with passion, through the creations that she makes in her small laboratory in Lugano.

« I am inspired by life, nature, travels and atmospheres experienced and that I will experience. I seek essentiality in what I do, with clarity of thought and simplicity of gestures. »

Valentina’s sculptures lead towards the essence, a meditative gaze towards reality that starts from oneself and reaches the whole cosmos, expanding the spaces of interiority. [...] They instill great introspection, but in order to grasp their beauty, one must not seek beauty, since it is not an aspect of the form, but a quality that manifests itself spontaneously, from which the mystery of stillness originates " " W. Ghidini "
