Julia Rempe is a theater costume designer. After obtaining a CFC as a seamstress at ERACOM in Lausanne, she studied live performance costume at ENSATT in Lyon and did her end-of-studies internship at the University Theater Center in Mexico City. Back in France, she worked as a costume designer on several films and plays in France, Switzerland and Mexico.

Julia Rempe’s workshop is known for the eco-responsible production of theater and cinema costumes. In 2019, she launched her REC clothing brand in La Sarraz, an eco-responsible fashion and costume project based on the recovery of raw materials. She likes to work with textured, colorful, original and atypical fabrics, as well as with old used, holed and stained clothes, whose still viable material is used to create unique pieces.
