PARTICIPATION

Individuals carrying out their activity in Switzerland who identify with the following definition may participate:

A craftsman designs, produces, transforms or restores everyday objects, individually or in limited series, which have an aesthetic character and whose production implements essentially manual know-how in the one of the following areas: wood crafts; stone crafts; applied arts professions; watchmaking and jewelery crafts; leather crafts; paper crafts; metal crafts; earth crafts; textile crafts; glass crafts; craftsmanship of instrumental craftsmanship.

For the Prix Relève Métiers d’art, candidates must be of legal age and under the age of 35 at the time of submitting their application.

Cannot participate:

- persons participating in the bodies of ASMA and the members of their direct family;

- the members of the direct family of the persons constituting the jury.

The objects presented must be made by the candidates themselves. These objects must have been completed for less than two years before the deadline for submitting the files. These objects must not have been the subject of any other distinction in the field of fine crafts.

APPLICATIONS

For the Swiss Master of Art distinction, there is no registration or file to submit. The jury proceeds by its own research.

For the Design & Métiers d’art, Young craftsmen and Métiers d’art et patrimoine prizes, candidates must submit to the ASMA in pdf format, before Monday, September 16, 2019 at noon, the following elements, in French, German or Italian:

- Application: identity, address, biographical information, internet references

- Brief description: description of the concept to the realization and three images, all on two A4 pages maximum

- Complete file: complete description of the concept to the realization, text images on 12 A4 pages maximum

Candidates cannot claim any financial contribution for the preparation of their dossier.

COMMUNICATIONS

The results are communicated electronically.

The choices of the jury are irrevocable, without appeal.

ASMA will not enter into any correspondence regarding the jury’s choices.
