JEMA

Visits will take place only on Saturday March 29 and Sunday March 30. Visits last 1 hour, only by registering via our website.

Description

Apprentice jewelers discover and learn the techniques of shaping jewelry. Coming from different regions and courses, they chose the technical school because of the attraction of meticulous work on precious metal and the recognized know-how of the Vallée de Joux. Over the years, mastery of filing, brazing and forging allows them to create increasingly elaborate pieces.

"Making a piece of jewelry requires more than just mastering the technique. Making a piece of jewelry means combining technique and aesthetics harmoniously and achieving an optimal result." Enola Nussbaumer

From the birth of an idea to its realization, some students will present the work they produce for the design prize as part of the Swiss Jewelers Championship. The technical school participates in the Lausanne Trade Fair and organizes open days every year.

"In addition to my independent work, I like to pass on my knowledge, to make the link between what we see at school and life in the company." Zeudi Cabiddu, jeweler and teacher
