The job of weaver is specific to the job of carpet and/or tapestry manufacturer.
- The bass weaver weaves manually on a horizontal loom, playing on the regular crisscrossing of stretched warp threads, forming the support of the tapestry, and colored weft threads passed through the flute, which will completely cover the warp to form the tapestry.
- The haute-lace weaver weaves manually on a vertical loom playing on the regular crisscrossing of stretched warp threads, forming the support of the tapestry, and colored weft threads passed through the spindle, which will completely cover the warp to form the tapestry . Weaving is done on the reverse side.
- The soap weaver makes knotted-stitch carpets using a specific technique which consists of tying the weft threads around the warp threads on a high-stitch loom then cutting them at their ends to form a pile.
