Most locksmiths are self-taught but often trained in working with metal or wood. There is no specific training for the locksmith profession.
However, a CFC for metal constructor is acquired through full-time apprenticeship in a company or school in one of the following areas: metal construction; blacksmithing; metal frame. Duration 4 years. Full-time school takes place in Geneva. Improvements are possible.
