Tailor

The art of tailoring consists of creating entirely by hand iconic garments from the men's wardrobe: suits composed of a jacket, trousers and possibly a waistcoat, tuxedos, coats, etc. He can also make suits for ladies.

Becoming a tailor

An initial vocational training program leading to a Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) in Clothing Design is acquired through an apprenticeship. The program lasts 4 years and takes place in Bern. Further training is available.
