Faltpolyeder: Papierfalten zwischen Kunst und Geometrie

paper crafts

Even if sporting goods manufacturers present their latest soccer ball to us as a self-creation, the shape of the ball is based on a classic polyhedron. A polyhedron - in English "polyhedral" - is a spatial structure that is limited exclusively by straight surfaces, such as a cube. In his book, Alexander Heinz shows how all regular and semi-regular polyhedra can be folded from paper. Each polyhedron is presented step by step from the base to the module to the finished model. The folding instructions are easy to understand thanks to the use of differently colored paper and clear graphics.
