Working with wood is trendy, it is the craftsmanship for the environmentally and design-conscious. The renowned wood artist Andrea Brugi and his wife Samina Langholz show how 20 beautiful wooden living objects can be made using simple techniques. These include larger objects like a bench made from a reused plank and a broomstick, and smaller ones like an egg cup made from a found branch, or a dulcimer with a handcrafted "dovetail," an ancient technique used to reinforce a crack. All projects are connected by their simple, timeless design. Outstanding photographs and understandable instructions provide inspiration for reworking the projects presented.
