About
The company has existed since 1903, founded by Rinaldo Tamborini who was then joined by his brother Antonio, industrious and stubborn local artisans who governed the fortunes of the factory until the 1940s. Initially a carpentry shop was opened in Via Lavizzari, later moved to Via Ferri where the machines were still driven by a hydraulic wheel, moved by the right canal of the Cassarate; rooms for the display of furniture were instead opened in Via Cattedrale in Lugano and in Viale Stazione in Bellinzona. In 1923 the current headquarters were inaugurated, located in a place still considered the northern outskirts of Lugano, where there were only meadows and fields.
Currently Tamborini Mobili is entrusted to Gianni Belli, Nino’s nephew who works to promote both public and private works.
