About
Valérie Hangel has always had a passion for textiles. After her training, she opened a sewing workshop where she offered made-to-measure clothing and ready-to-wear collections. In 2008, during a trip to Japan, she discovered ancient silks: it was love at first sight. She then decides to reorient herself and transforms these fabrics rich in history into unique jewels.
In her boutique workshop La Galerie H, Valérie Hangel designs silk jewelry from old kimonos. She plays with patterns and textures, cuts out delicate fabrics and sheaths them on small pieces of wood or reconstituted leather to create earrings, bracelets and necklaces. In addition, she offers for sale objects found during her travels and collaborates with various artists.
