Jane Ihne
Knitwear specialist, Seamstress
Carouge

« Sewing is an origami game that brings new challenges. What a pleasure to pass from the imaginary to the realization, to find refined solutions to the constraints of the cut. »

About

A lifelong passionate stylist, Jane Ihne never shy away from any challenge: whether it’s designing 250 costumes for a dance school or a line of hemp fabric clothing for a competition. In the early 2000s, she met knitwear specialist Mireille Donzé who invited her to join her studio. After 17 years of collaboration, Jane Ihne takes over the reins alone.

« The garment is a painting, revealing the personality of the person who wears it. It should be comfortable, friendly. »

Jane Ihne knits her fabrics herself from sustainable materials such as linen, wool, silk or alpaca. The different pieces of clothing are then assembled in such a way as to give a movement, often asymmetrical. The meshes are finally reconstituted in order to ensure the continuity of the work. She offers her collections for sale in her shop, the Djeihne workshop.
