Originally from Finhaut, Charlotte Vouilloz met at the age of 12 a ceramist from Geneva who had come to settle in Valais. This is how she discovered ceramics with her. In the summer, she works in the Cabane du Vieux-Emosson run by her parents. She completed a hotel apprenticeship and then worked for several years in a luxury hotel in Verbier. As a young graduate, she followed her training as a ceramist in Vevey in parallel with her job.

« Through my work, I want you to discover what touches me, what I like, a very personal way of making ceramics. »

Charlotte Vouilloz opened her first studio in Martigny then, three years later, decided to share the studio of Julie Crettol, also a ceramist. Interested in shapes and materials, Charlotte Vouilloz does not work on a wheel but using the coil technique. For years, Charlotte has been writing down her secret recipes in a notebook, the fruit of countless experiments: sandstone, water, formyle, turquoise...
