Arc Jurassien - Watchmaking and artistic mechanical know-how ready for Unesco

These skills concentrate a large part of the DNA of the Jura Arc. Watchmaking mechanics, and later artistic mechanics, in Sainte-Croix, developed there like nowhere else. This multitude of manual trades, with high added value, is still alive. But until when ? This is why some of their representatives have the ambition to include them in the intangible cultural heritage of Unesco, in order to safeguard them, ten years after the registration of the watchmaking town planning of La Chaux-de-Fonds and the Loclé. The application file has just been submitted. Answer at the end of 2020.
