"Futures in transmission" is the theme chosen by the National Institute of Crafts for the next European Days of Crafts, which, for their 12th edition, will extend for the first time over six days, from 3 to April 8, 2018. Survey on the systems put in place to attract young people and sustain artistic professions.

More than ever, fine crafts have the future in their sights. And to "shape a future that is built in the human, with the human and by the human", in the words of Nicolas Rizzo, director of development of the National Institute of Crafts (INMA), it count on the youth. The first objective of the European Days of Crafts (JEMA) will therefore be to dust off the image of crafts, “manual trades, but not only”, in order to restore their attractiveness on the labor market. “The act of transmitting, at the heart of fine crafts, is not only reproducing, it is also preparing for the future, explains Nicolas Rizzo.
