Worldtempus.com, Cartier, July 9, 2019

In order to perpetuate the art of Haute Horlogerie, Cartier created the Institut Horlogerie Cartier (IHC) in 1993, which celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2019. The IHC promotes the know-how of apprentice watchmakers in general, by offering a competition that is dedicated to them, allowing them to express their technical and artistic talents. This competition is open to all 3rd year apprentice watchmakers in Switzerland, whether they complete their apprenticeship in watchmaking schools, watch industry apprenticeship centers or in private workshops. students from Lange Uhren GmbH (DE) and Lycée Edgar Faure (F) are also invited to present their projects.

6 watchmaking schools, 7 watch industry learning centers as well as 2 private workshops responded positively to the invitation and 72 works were taken into consideration by the jury
