Cuarnens – Awarded for reinventing wooden skis

Lucas Bessard manufactures wooden skis in his workshop in Cuarnens. An artistic work rewarded by the Swiss Association of Arts and Crafts. By pushing the front door of his workshop in Cuarnens, the smell of wood comes to graze the nostrils. On both sides of the room, wooden skis strut their stuff. Of different sizes, all have their little particularity: chamois engraved on a mountain background or triangular patterns.
