European Heritage Days 2019 - “Farben – Couleurs – Colori – Colurs”

On September 14 and 15, 2019, the European Heritage Days will put on their finest attire. Under the title “Farben – Couleurs – Colori – Colurs”, they will invite the public to rediscover the built heritage of Switzerland in all its forms and colors and to discuss the use of color in public space.

Whether you are specialists or laymen, local residents or simply curious, the Heritage Days, placed under the patronage of Federal Councilor Alain Berset, invite you to participate free of charge in hundreds of guided tours, walks, workshops or round tables, on numerous sites spread throughout Switzerland. The theme chosen this year evokes several topical questions, such as “how do colors characterize the architectural culture of our country? » or « how does the current revision of the law on spatial planning influence the choice of colors in public spaces and what repercussions does this choice have on the quality of life? ". The Heritage Days thus highlight the historical, political and aesthetic aspects of colours.
