France - The National Center for Stage Costume in Moulins celebrates the "little hands" and the artistic craftsmen of the theatre.

Performers. The costume factory, from October 14, 2017 to March 11, 2018

The Center national du costume de scène invites visitors to a unique discovery at the heart of the professions of excellence that work behind the scenes of major shows. Costumers, milliners, wigmakers, hairdressers, show jewellers, feather workers or carcassiers, the exhibition reveals the extraordinary know-how, techniques and achievements of those responsible for making stage costumes and their accessories. All the secrets of creation are revealed through more than 200 objects: costumes, accessories, sets, videos, photos and prototypes from the CNCS collections but also from the collections of the Paris Opera, the National Library of France, the Comédie-Française or lent directly by the artisans
