Geneva - Crafts Days: the traditional spring event

The sixth Geneva edition of the European Days of Crafts (JEMA) which took place from March 31 to April 2, 2017 ended with a new success, with nearly 9,000 visits in 28 places.

The diversity of the proposals, with visits to workshops, demonstration areas, conferences, participatory workshops, exhibitions, won over visitors. Nearly a hundred craftsmen and dozens of students and apprentices were at work to meet the public during these days. One of the highlights of the weekend was the meeting at the Building of the driving forces (BFM) with the thirty craftsmen present who showed their know-how and invited visitors to take part in the manufacture of objects. From embroidery to carpentry, from the manufacture of sails to cutlery, from stone cutting to glass blowing, the richness of the trades was revealed through high quality demonstrations.
