Geneva - The Botanical Garden opens its carpentry to the public. The extraordinary workshop of Jean-Pierre Morier, head carpenter at the Botanical Garden, welcomes visitors until Sunday evening.

To visit the Botanical Conservatory and Garden (CJB) is to come face to face, besides the plants, with the creations of Jean-Pierre Morier. The head carpenter of the CJB has been in post since 1985. "I am part of the furniture", jokes the craftsman. Alone in his workshop, surrounded by tools and machines, he produces 90% of all the wooden objects scattered throughout the Garden. The bins, the arches, the barriers, the reception counter, the benches and the tables, it’s him. But he also creates unique pieces, veritable works of art presented during CJB exhibitions.
