Italy - LVMH develops its training in craftsmanship and sales in Italy

Fashion Network, November 25, 2018

The LVMH group, which includes French and Italian brands such as Christian Dior, Fendi and Bulgari, has decided to develop its training in craftsmanship and sales in Italy, in order to transmit and promote the know-how of the luxury trades.

Last year, the French giant opened a branch of its Institute of Excellence Trades on the other side of the Alps, offering two work-study courses: leather goods, in Tuscany, and goldsmithing, in Piedmont. Now, LVMH has decided to expand its offer. Since this start of the school year, he has been offering training in women’s shoes and another in sales as a luxury customer advisor, both in Veneto. A third, men’s shoes, will also soon be developed in Ferrara (Centre).

During a ceremony on Friday in Florence, the boss of Fendi, Serge Brunschwig, considered that the training of craftsmen is “an indispensable cause for our industry”.
