Mathias Lecocq, wood turner and sculptor in Founex (VD) presents his profession from his workshop
“Wood is a unique material because of its grain. Turned and carved chip by chip, the tree reveals what was hidden within it. »
Always passionate about manual woodworking, Mathias Lecocq trained in sculpture, turning and gilding on wood. He enjoys researching innovative shapes and designs that he combines with ancestral know-how. He gives woodturning courses in his workshop. In 2019, he won the first prize for Relève Métiers d’art.
