Our craftsmen have talent: in Vercorin, Catherine Lambert knows how to sublimate textiles

Settled for years in Vercorin, this artist with multiple techniques likes to play with codes to keep herself in a creative spirit. She will be at the Valais Arts and Crafts Biennale, in Salvan, next weekend.

"I am passionate about textile techniques and I can't bring myself to practice just one." In her studio – which also serves as a shop – in Vercorin, Catherine Lambert, an indefatigable explorer, is never short of ideas. She always finds something new to enhance her creations.

If we present her as a lacemaker, Catherine Lambert emphasizes that the scope of her activities is much broader: “I started with the dyeing of the fleece, then I started spinning and weaving. And I sew too.

In her shop, you can find, pell-mell, embroideries, clothes, silk jewellery, sculptures...
