Reopening of the Métiers d’art Suisse arcades on June 2, 2020 at 10 a.m.

Platform 10, Lausanne

We are pleased to inform you of the reopening of the Swiss Crafts arcades on the Platform 10 site in Lausanne:

  • From Tuesday June 2 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: exhibition dedicated to the creations of the winners of the Métiers d’art prizes
  • From Tuesday, June 9, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: resumption of residencies for craftsmen

From Tuesday June 9 to Friday June 12, 2020 : residencies will resume with Mathias Lecocq, 2019 winner of the first prize Relève Métiers d’art, who will present his profession until Friday June 12. You will be able to discover sculptures in progress, in bas-relief or in the round, worked using more than a hundred different gouges, on essences of lime and walnut.

Saturday June 13 and Sunday June 14, 2020 , Nadia Cuénoud, costume designer and stylist in Bourg-en-Lavaux, will lead a project over the two days in direct resonance with the temporary exhibition at the MCBA. She will create a garment inspired by Gustav Klimt’s muse, Émilie Flöge, a stylist herself who, at the turn of the 20th century, worked to free the woman’s body from the corset.

On the basis of the prescriptions of the Federal Office of Public Health (OFSP), Métiers d’art Suisse will apply the health precautions necessary to protect the public, artisans and employees of the association.
