In the beginning, there were three pines; at the end, three personalities from the world of wood from St. Gallen – such is the versatility of the local raw material.
Those who build sustainably and intelligently use wood. Wood has to do with brains. This is one of the reasons why the interest group Lignum Holzkette St. Gallen regularly awards prizes to personalities who have distinguished themselves by awarding the "St. Galler Holzchopf".
They are actors and personalities also involved in the group’s latest campaign. Woodcarver Dominik Hollenstein was commissioned to present three personalities in close contact with the wood and forestry industry in St. Gallen. Katharina Lehmann (Gossau), Thomas Ammann (Rüthi) and Jörg Abderhalden (Nesslau) have been chosen. Not only are they well known, but they deal with St. Gallen wood on a daily basis.
