The craftsman in residence - Daniel Borel, guitar maker in Avenches (VD)
From Tuesday 13 to Sunday 18 October, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Arcades Métiers d’art Switzerland, Platform 10 in Lausanne
Passionate about music and wood since his childhood, Daniel Borel combines his two passions into one art: that of building guitars by hand in all styles, from the cigar box to the jazz, electric or folk guitar. He is also a crafts teacher for primary and secondary I students, with whom he makes electric guitars.

Daniel Borel will present different guitars of his manufacture: cigar box, electric guitar, folk guitar (acoustic), the architecture of the instruments, the choice of woods according to the desired timbre and will demonstrate finishing work such as the laying of varnish.
