Vaud - The "handmade", or the "beautiful work", is still and always successful.

Three days devoted to the passion for artistic craftsmanship

Organized for the fourth time in the canton of Vaud, the European Days of Crafts (JEMA) once again attracted a large audience of curious people and amateurs. The meetings (with or without registration) and the program for this vintage won over visitors. The “handmade”, or the “beautiful work”, still and always wins. If admiring an object of fine craftsmanship and impeccable execution does not leave anyone indifferent, having the opportunity to witness its manufacture is a unique experience. A large audience was able to see this this weekend by taking part in the JEMA 2017.

This spring event recorded a total attendance equal to that of 2016. The venue, housing the activity of six craftsmen and accessible without prior registration, was at the Château de Nyon and attracted more than 900 people. Two museums, the Old Pays-d’Enhaut Museum and the Iron and Railway Museum in Vallorbe, have also joined the adventure for the first time. The cultural mediation offer "Meetings with schools and craftsmen" has met with great success and will allow nearly 220 schoolchildren from Vaud to meet a craftsman every month. next May and June.
