Linien überall: entdecken und zeichnen

Applied arts professions

"The line is a point that goes for a walk." (Paul Klee) In their new book, Peter Boerboom and Tim Proetel are guided by the line, the elementary means of expression in drawing. They playfully experiment with ways of creating shapes, signs and spaces from lines. "Lines everywhere" includes the beauty of the unintentional and the richness of the accidental as well as the consciously designed. The perception of traces from nature and everyday life offer starting points for making pictures. The drawings and etudes are supplemented by a selection of artist’s statements, which also open up a historical perspective for considerations about the line.
