By handling chisels, gouges, mallets and chisels, but also contemporary tools, the sculptor shapes any form of the spirit which, projected within a block of wood, comes to life. as the material fades, capturing the expressiveness of each essence.

By working on regional trunks barely separated from their branches, Sylvio Asseo prolongs the life of trees through his art. Inspired by the forms emanating from the woods, he sculpts animals which come in numerous species scattered all over the canton, offering a second existence to organic matter, symbolizing the continuity between nature and craftsmanship.
