Dominique Brandt
Art glassmaker
Fontainemelon

« What could be more beautiful than admiring the light caressing the material? It’s a pleasure for me to play with. »

About
Born in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Dominique Brandt spent more than thirty years on the Vaud coast. A qualified carpenter by profession, he combined his many manual skills and old-fashioned window work to become an art glassmaker some twenty years ago. Eager to return to his roots, he opened the doors of his colorful Glassverre workshop in 2012 in Fontainemelon.

« I am inspired by nature for the creation of colored and custom-made stained glass, in lead, according to the Tiffany style or in glass slab. »

Welcome to the world of 5500 glass colors! Between transparency and play of light, Dominique Brandt unveils his many glass creations and renovations in his 110m2 workshop, where he will create the boreal flower of the Evologia gardens. From simple or insulating glazing to stained glass, from apartment decoration to tableware, discover with what meticulousness and dexterity this passionate art glassmaker shapes the material
