About
Manuel Burgos learned about fashion and haute couture in Argentina before turning to shoemaking. Arriving in France in 2007, he worked in a shoemaker's shop in Paris, then trained in traditional shoemaking with companion Romain Didier. He enriched his know-how in luxury workshops and then explored working-class environments in France, Spain and Switzerland.
In January 2025, Manuel Burgos moved to Montreux, where he wanted to bring to life an aesthetic, social and political project that he had already begun to imagine in 1995. In this creative space that he experienced as a dream, he intended to tackle a retrospective of his professional and personal career by creating exclusive pieces by hand.
