Annette Füglister’s passion for organ building comes from her father, Hans-Jakob Füglister, founder of the organ factory that bears his name. After her CFC, she specialized in Denmark, her mother’s country of origin, and then joined her father in the family business. When her father retired in 2006, she took over the reins of the factory.
Founded in 1960, the Füglister organ factory has forged a national and international reputation over the years, particularly in Japan. It specializes in the restoration of old organs, such as that of the basilica of Valère in Sion, and creates new pieces. The skills required are multiple, ranging from cabinet making to tuning and leather work.
