From childhood, Josefa Garcia Lozano was drawn to sewing, a passion passed on to her by her seamstress grandmother. Arriving in Switzerland after leaving her native Spain, she trained to become a stylist and model maker before working as a blouse maker with Geneva tailors. Today independent, she works from her family workshop located in the heart of the city of Geneva.
In Maison Revenga – the family shirt shop of Josefa Garcia Lozano – the making of a made-to-measure shirt begins with the choice of fabric, collar, buttons and cuffs. Then comes the taking of measurements in order to create a pattern perfectly adapted to the morphology of the customer, the assembly of the different parts that make up the shirt and, finally, the finishes.
