« Coaching offers a multitude of perspectives. I make each piece entirely by hand, with a variety of techniques, including old-fashioned gilding. »

About

After having interrupted an apprenticeship in carpentry in 1978, Anthony Guyot realizes that it was important to make something of your life that you really love. Browsing through a list of trades, he is drawn to the word “gilder-dresser”. Three years later, he obtained his CFC. He perfected his training for four years with Rudolf Berger, a renowned gilding teacher from Bern.

« Designing a frame, for me, is above all imagining how to sublimate the work to be framed. »

In 1986, Anthony Guyot returned to French-speaking Switzerland and opened his studio in Mézières next to the Grange Sublime (Théâtre du Jorat). It diversifies by offering, in addition to creations of frames, various restorations of objects, furniture or sculptures. From 2007 to 2010, he taught practical courses to apprentices at the Center professionnelle de Vevey.
