Timée Herren
Black-smith
Les Posses-sur-Bex

« This creative and rare profession requires endurance and sensitivity, strength and finesse. It’s physical work that allows me to sleep well at night. »

About

Born in 1988, Timée Herren discovered the blacksmith trade at the age of 14 by visiting the Iron Museum in Vallorbe with his father. Passionate about this approach to metal, he undertook an apprenticeship in a forge and acquired the CFC of metal constructor as well as that of blacksmith, before obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in microtechnology engineering in Yverdon-les-Bains.

« I listen to the material and try to make it come to life, to make it take shape, without rushing it. »

In his forge created in 2008, Timée Herren devotes himself to the manufacture of various objects such as bells or damascus steel knives. Combining his engineering knowledge with his practice as a blacksmith, he also designs and carries out various metal construction works: stairs, barriers, gates and small locksmithing. It also offers courses for children (from 12 years old) and adults.
