About
Ramona Hess became a wood craftsman before continuing her studies in product design at the Bern University of Applied Arts. She enjoys combining the traditional craft of woodturning with modern technologies to explore new possibilities. She primarily works with wood from wood processing companies, which is considered waste or does not meet quality criteria and would end up being used as firewood. The origin of the material is reflected in her products through a creative element. She thus creates unique pieces by hand that highlight the beauty and value of wood. Through her work, she aims to create objects that tell stories, provoke reflection, and raise awareness about the environment and local artisanal production.
