Beatrix Kaufmann is a milliner, that is to say hat maker. Feeling different textures activates their creativity. Selected materials are arranged, shaped and assembled to form a supporting object.

After training as a milliner in 1994, Beatrix Kaufmann took part in designing productions at the Stadttheater Bern and the Zurich Opera. Today, she works as a freelance milliner in her studio in the Matte district of Bern. She carefully processes felt, fabric, straw and various yarns by hand. His sensitive hat designs are almost always commissioned work, but always unique. Beatrix Kaufmann also passes on her knowledge in courses. With guidance, participants can make their own measuring cap.
