Claire Lavigne
Courtepointière
Lausanne

« Rather than going to the big brands, our customers can have a unique piece that has a story. »

About

After obtaining her CFC from the Ackermann house in Aigle, Claire Lavigne cultivated her know-how and her knowledge of styles and fabrics at Charles-Emile Moinat in Rolle and at Moyard in Morges. She designs and creates classic and contemporary decorations for private individuals and listed houses. In 2013, she opened her studio with upholsterer Vladimir Boson.

« The new fabrics have a multitude of properties that make it possible to cover rounded shapes or so-called 3D materials with a raised surface. »

Their desire for independence pushes Vladimir Boson and Claire Lavigne to found their own workshop. Going against the tide of traditional upholsterers, they offer graphic, playful and colorful fabrics. Upholstering a 1950s armchair with pink flamingos and palm trees or installing Tyvek curtains, at home, all daring is allowed. They also collaborate with designers and artists.
