About
Metal engraving brings together all the techniques that shape hollow or raised images on metal supports, directly as with a chisel, or indirectly with a chemical mordant such as etching, creating a design that can be transposed onto paper in order to produce and reproduce in color what is called a print. Mastering the technique of intaglio thanks to the fruits of the family transmission, Anna Leckie engraves furrows on the surface of a copper matrix which, in contact with ink and paper, reveals the precision of her lines and the softness of tones available in the press in as many colors as there are inks, exploring its mysterious nuances.
