« Papermaking is a state of mind, a way of looking at things. I look at what surrounds me: the sky, the clouds, the sea, the colors of the sunsets. »

Ginette Magnenat began by training as a decorator at the School of Applied Arts in Vevey before setting off to discover the world. Thanks to her travels in Greece, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Reunion and Andalusia, she enriches her artistic universe. In 2003, she discovered a passion for papermaking and, in 2007, she presented her first exhibition.

« To make my paper works, I draw inspiration from everything that makes me vibrate: reliefs, transparency, cracks and everything that allows light to pass through. »

Ginette Magnenat makes her own pulp from different fibers and sometimes even uses plants from her garden. This allows him to add pigments, fragments of text or fabric and thus emboss the paper with structures. She manufactures, among other things, lights from which emanates a soft and warm light. It also offers internships.
