Eva Mechler
Master cabinetmaker
Laupen

« As a child, I spent a lot of time in my grandfather's workshop. Wood is in my blood. »

About

Eva Mechler developed a close connection with wood early on in her carpenter grandfather's workshop. With the support of her family, she completed an apprenticeship in cabinetmaking and later earned a master's degree. She gained experience in various companies before opening her own workshop, first in Northern Germany and later in Switzerland.

« I think we have to let the wood speak. »

In her studio, Eva Mechler designs custom pieces from solid wood that combine elegance and durability. Inspired by nature and the great masters of design, she values simplicity. Committed to sustainable practices, she also creates furniture from eco-friendly wood scraps, such as the Tesumo.
