Originally from the Dominican Republic, she has lived in Switzerland since 1992. When life took her to Europe, Silvia began to associate with various artists with whom she shared her experiences. Intrigued by art since childhood, she has experimented with various expressive techniques throughout her life, driven by the irrepressible need to "create".

Driven by an intense experimentalism, she specialized in the work of plaster, wax and modeling clay, but her artistic maturation accelerated and she took an important step when she began to learn the ancient art of bronze casting.

Her favorite subjects are mainly inspired by nature, from which she draws the forms of her "creatures" which, like frogs, butterflies and tropical fish, are born real but are characterized by great simplicity and the essentiality of their appearance. form. His "creatures" express, in the solidity of the material, grace, lightness, elegance and serenity. All of them, without exception, live by describing a moment of real life which, in its normality, reflects the greatness of creation and, with it, the mystery of life.
