About
Santi Occorso, born in 1943, graduated from the Art Institute of Cefalù, specializing in woodworking . Later he attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, concluding his studies with a diploma in painting. In 1975 he began to build recorders and panpipes in bamboo and wood, taking up his father’s hobby.
Over the years, he has perfected the construction technique by making instruments that are appreciated and played by internationally recognized musicians.
In a laboratory partially excavated in the rock, with a panoramic view, Santi Occorso builds his instruments with sensitivity and demanding creativity.
