About

After studying violin for several years he enrolled at the Inter School. of Liuteria di Cremona. A pupil of the Masters Negroni and Scarpini, he obtained a scholarship from the Fond. Walter Stauffer. Graduated in 1986, he perfected himself under the guidance of M. Conia in his laboratory. He then followed a two-year restoration course for stringed instruments organized by the Lombardy Region, graduating in 1987.

He attended a course in the restoration of stringed instruments run by the "Antonio Stradivari" Liuthier Consortium.

He was a founding member of the Cremona Violin Makers Consortium for which he held the position of vice president for four years.

2001 First prize in the cello section at the VIII Baveno International Violin Making Competition; with the same instrument he also won the "Baveno Prize", awarded to the instrument that achieves the highest score among all the participating categories

2000 Special Award for Violin Construction at the Violin Society of America in Fort Mitchell, USA

1997 Special prize at the Baveno Competition with a violin

1996 Second place in the "A violin for a musician" competition organized by the Cremona Violin Makers Consortium

1992 Gold medal with a violin at the Bagnacavallo Competition

1991 First prize with a viola at the Baveno Competition
