Christian Rattaz is a decorative painter. In 2000, he went to Ticino and trained in decorative painting techniques, such as lime plaster, stucco and the manufacture of staffs. He then obtained a decorative painter’s diploma, as well as a prize, from the Higher Institute of Decorative Painting in Paris. Since then, he has created and restored all kinds of decorations using pigments or gold leaf.
Christian Rattaz’s workshop is known for the quality and accuracy of its restorations and decoration creations. Among his remarkable achievements are fake wood, fake marble, fake stones, trompe-l’oeil as well as patinas, gilding and stucco. Also a painter, he received several artistic prizes and participated in exhibitions in Switzerland, Italy, Dubai and New York.
