From loom to co-creation

Weaving was and remains Barbara Turtschi's passion since her training as a hand weaver. When she dared to restart the weaving workshop in Gerolfingen after her childhood, she asked herself the question: what function does a hand loom still have in the 21st century - at a time when textiles are mostly mass-produced?!

Barbara Turtschi has always been fascinated by the uniqueness of a hand-woven fabric, the truly unique as the antithesis to mass-produced goods. This is how the idea of sharing the individual more with the client and involving him in creation was born. This link must also be reflected in the final result with a unique and even more personal product for the buyer.

By means of co-creation (via doppelset.ch ) a placemat for two is created, which can be designed differently on both sides; the double set is quite ambiguous to understand.
