In 1982, Alain Vos began his apprenticeship in the Parietti marble factory in Yverdon-les-Bains. Then, he continued his training in Guin in the canton of Friborg and obtained his CFC in stone sculptor and marble worker at the Professional Training Center in Bern. With his father, Alain Vos, in August 1988 he laid the first stone (natural, it goes without saying) of his company.

Alain Vos is a member of the Association Romande des Métiers de la Pierre and signatory of the charter of craftsmanship promoted by the Romand Group of services for the conservation of built heritage. Alain and Jacques Vos’ workshop trains apprentices. Among his prestigious achievements, in 2013 he renovated the facades of the Villa d’Entremonts in Yverdon-les-Bains as well as the copy of a Roman column for the town of Avenches in 2015.
